Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: 3 August 2026

1. Who we are

Midas ("we", "us", "our") provides Website-as-a-Service ("WaaS") for solopreneurs and small businesses in Dubai and the UAE, through worksbymidas.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Site, why we collect it, and the choices you have — in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL).

2. Data we collect

Information you give us directly — when you submit a contact form, book a call, or message us, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the content of your message.

Information collected automatically — when you browse the Site, our technology may automatically collect technical and usage information, such as the pages you visit, how long you spend on them, links you click, your device and browser type, a general (non-precise) location derived from your IP address, and how you found the Site.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use cookies and similar technology (such as local storage) in the following categories:

You can change your preference at any time.

5. How we use your data

We use the data described above to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our services;
  • Understand aggregate usage trends (only where you have consented to analytics cookies);
  • Measure and improve our marketing (only where you have consented to advertising cookies);
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

6. Legal basis for processing

Under the GDPR, we rely on: your consent (for analytics and advertising cookies), the necessity to take steps prior to entering into a contract with you (when you request a proposal or service), and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site. Under the UAE PDPL, we process personal data based on your consent and, where applicable, other lawful grounds recognised by the law.

7. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with trusted technology providers who help us run the Site, communicate with you, and — where you have consented — measure and improve our marketing. These providers are only permitted to use your data to perform services on our behalf.

8. International data transfers

Our technology may store or process data on secure servers located in different countries. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, consistent with the GDPR and the UAE PDPL.

9. Data retention

We keep personal data for no longer than 12 months from the date it was collected, unless a longer period is required to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or enforce our agreements. Contact form submissions and analytics data are retained for up to one year and are then deleted or anonymised.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate data;
  • Request deletion of your data;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Withdraw your cookie consent at any time (see Section 4);
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in the UAE, the UAE Data Office; in the EU/EEA, your national supervisory authority.

11. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.

13. Contact us
